It works seamlessly with laptops, desktops, notebooks, and all-in-ones from leading brands like HP, LG, Samsung, Asus, Dell, ThinkPad, Microsoft, and Apple MacBook.
It can read and write CD±R, CD±RW, CD-ROM, DVD±R, DVD±RW, DVD-RAM, VCD, and SVCD discs. (Note: Blu-ray and 4K discs are not supported. Not compatible with ChromeOS, Ubuntu, TVs, cars, projectors, phones, iPads/tablets, PS4/5, and Xbox.)
This optical drive includes a high-speed data cable and a separate power cable. USB-A and Type-C connectors on the bottom of the drive easily connect to a laptop or desktop without the need for adapters or hubs. USB 3.0, an updated version of USB 2.0, offers transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps (10x faster than USB 2.0) and supports 24x CD and 8x DVD read/write speeds for smooth performance.
