mBot2 is a next-generation educational robot designed with advanced capabilities as a starter kit for both primary and secondary schools and universities. This is a great introduction to STEAM-based learning!
The components used in the kit represent the real power of mBot2. Famous for its rugged aluminum frame, a brand new mBot controller, enhanced sensors and motors, and new programming capabilities are all you need to enter the exciting world of programmable robots, learning about the computing and electronics that surround us everywhere in everyday life. life.
mBot2 is based on the new CyberPi controller, an educational microcontroller enriched with networking capabilities, embedded sensors and more. This powerful and affordable driver will allow you to easily develop the programming skills of the youngest developers. mBot2 is designed to teach interactive and engaging lessons that easily reflect real-world applications using the latest technologies, including robotics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and data science.
With its extensive programming capabilities, mBot2 enables students and teachers to start learning from graphical block-based programming and seamlessly transition to object-oriented programming in Python, all in a single development environment.
Based on CyberPI is a powerful and universal CyberPi microcontroller designed for education. Built-in sensors, color displays and Wi-Fi capabilities enable a wide range of applications in computer science, robotics, data processing and artificial intelligence in combination with other curriculum areas such as mathematics and physics.
Precise management. Thanks to the mBot2 encoder motors, it is possible to precisely control the number of revolutions, speed and position, which allows you to apply the basic principles of mathematics, physics and engineering when learning using the device.
Enhanced electronics – the mBot2 is equipped with a next-generation ultrasonic sensor with built-in backlight and a Quad RGB sensor that uses 4 color sensors to simultaneously determine color and track lines. This affects the performance of the robot. mBota2 can be further expanded with a wide range of Makeblock Education structural parts and mBuild series intelligent electronic modules.
The mBot2 kit has everything you need to start learning robotics and programming, whether you are just starting out or already have experience programming robots! The robot works with the mBlock 5 application, which allows programming in Scratch 3.0 or Python.
Replacing the robot controller with CyberPI with a board that expands its capabilities in the latest mBot also changes the standard of connection to electronic modules from Makeblock. You can now combine all CyberPI-compatible mBuild sensors into one series. It is also possible to use sensor modules from older versions of Makeblock kits, but this will require re-soldering and removing the corresponding wiring from the module. Similar to third-party sensors, CyberPI has 2- and 3-pin outputs for connecting a third-party module, for example. Compatible with Arduino. The mBota board, to which the CyberPI controller is connected, also has a built-in battery.
