[Frequently asked questions]
Q: Which supporter is suitable for ankle protection? (20s, men, futsal)
A: If your goal is to stabilize your ankles, we recommend the FA-1, which is thin and easy to fit. No plastic materials are used, and the bulk inside the shoe is kept to a minimum. In addition, we use materials with good breathability. However, if you are addicted to twisting and want to avoid twisting tightly, a product with a built-in stay (post) like "A1-Short" is suitable.
Q: Is it better to wear the supporter on both feet? Is it okay to wear it on only one foot? (Teens, men, volleyball) A: Zamst recommends wearing it on both feet. The reason is that you don't know when an ankle strain will occur, so it should be used as a preventative measure. ``A1-Short'', ``A1'', and ``A2-DX'' can be used to prevent recurrence of ankles that have been stretched once, or to prevent ankles that have never been stretched. However, there is no problem if you wear it only on one foot. In fact, some top players play with only one leg worn. Please use it with confidence.
Q: I use supports for my knees and feet. Is it okay to wear knee and ankle supports on the same foot? (30s, male, basketball)
A: Regarding wearing knee and ankle supports, there is no problem with wearing both. However, the muscle strength in both of the injured areas has decreased. Your reactions may also be sluggish, so try stretching more carefully to wake up your muscles before you start exercising. In addition, the ankle support will sufficiently suppress movement without having to tighten it tightly. Please be careful not to tighten too tightly as this may cause numbness.
Q: I sometimes get varus when I run. I don't get injured much in other cases, but is it better to use a supporter? (Teens, men, handball)
A: Supporters are not only worn when you are injured, but also to help prevent injury. Twisting your ankle often happens when you least expect it, such as when you collide with someone or after jumping, so we recommend wearing it from the time you avoid injury. If you don't feel comfortable keeping it on, I think it's a good idea to wear it only during games or complex practices where you're likely to get injured, and then take it off when you're out running, etc. As for the product, we recommend "A1" if you want to deal with twisting in varus and prevent injuries. If the fixation is too strong, go to "A1-Short" which has a lighter support level.
