PLUS 3 is designed for musicians who prefer compact, desktop control of their instrument's sustain with access to the expression jack. PLUS 3 features high-definition faders, a momentary sustain key, and an innovative "Drone Mode" toggle switch for expressive performance and automation. In Drone mode, the function of the Momentary keys changes, allowing you to swap drone notes with new notes. Momentary sustain button for instruments that don't have a dedicated physical sustain control (most instruments don't!). A drone/hold/arp latch switch specifically for instruments that don't have a drone/hold/arp latch switch (many don't!). Note that even if your instrument has a Hold button, the Sustain jack may unlock additional functionality or behavior (for example, a button that simply holds a note will not cause the Piano VST to resonate the resonant strings as it would with Sustain). Momentary and toggle control of parameters that can be mapped to your DAW synth's MOD matrix/menu system or effects pedals (e.g. sostenuto, freeze effects, dry/wet bypass, preset swapping, etc.). PLUS 3 is especially useful for adding expressive physical faders to MIDI controllers that don't have faders but do have expression jacks (such as Native Instruments Kontrol MK3 and M32, or Korg's KeyStage). Use PLUS 3's faders to directly access any parameter that can be mapped to your DAW, effects, or synth, giving you expressive control in ways not possible with a regular keyboard. (For example, violin bowing, orchestral swells, tweaking the level of a track during a mix, etc.) With DAWs, synths with modulation matrices, and effect pedals with expression jack mapping (such as many Chase Bliss, Boss, EHX pedals, GHOST and GOLDEN MASTER pedals), you can use the PLUS 3's faders as macro controls, allowing you to change multiple parameters at once.
