Platz has created this product with this idea in mind, under the supervision of miniature artisans Hiroyuki & Kyoko. Bonsai. This word, known as BONSAI, has now become a globally shared language. The delicate consideration unique to the Japanese, nurtured by our country's unique climate, geography, and historical background. Perhaps it is because our ancestors continued to seek their own path with this "spirit of harmony" that bonsai has become a globally recognized form of BONSAI. THE BONSAI is a series of miniature models that further condenses the world of bonsai. These miniature models are handmade using a variety of techniques. For example, with a pine tree, the fibers of a coconut are loosened to create needles, the branches are shaped with wire and clay, and fine chips are attached to the trunk to recreate the unique appearance of a pine. The pots that are paired with these carefully crafted trees are small, but are kiln-fired for a professional finish. Each miniature is only about 5cm tall, but its small size allows you to enjoy its presence. The scale is 1/12, the international standard for dollhouses. How you enjoy it is up to you.
