This is a Dumble amp-in-a-box that captures the common characteristics of Dumble. Coincidentally, it has a similar structure to the SonicBlueTwanger, the blackface pedal that took the world by storm. Like many of the real ones are based on vintage blackface. You can control everything from crystal clear clean to heavy gain with just a touch. Moreover, the distorted sound caused by a strong attack will not drown out other sounds. In other words, the chords are well separated, yet the sound is even and cohesive. The sound doesn't fall apart, and it doesn't get muddy. Although the gain range is wide, it always produces a clear sound. The RATIO knob on the GOLDENACORNOVERDRIVE SPECIAL is the basic gain control. If you're using a humbucker, try setting this knob to 11 o'clock, or if you're using a single coil, try starting around 12 to 1 o'clock to start creating the sound.
