This set includes one katakuchi and one tin and gold leaf sake cup. Tin has a high ionic effect, which is said to remove unpleasant flavors from sake and make it mellow. It also has high thermal conductivity, so storing the cup in the refrigerator keeps it chilled, making it perfect for drinking chilled sake or shochu. It also makes a great gift.
Nousaku's artisans carefully craft each cup using the traditional casting techniques passed down for 400 years in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture.
The small katakuchi holds approximately 150cc. Each sake cup holds approximately 60cc. This luxurious sake cup with a gold leaf finish combines the traditional craftsmanship of Tomioka with the gold leaf of Kanazawa. The gold leaf on the inside gives sake an amber glow, enhancing the elegance of your sake.
