MPC 1/25 Shirley Muldowney Long Nose Mustang Funny Car Plastic Model Kit MPC1001

This model recreates the Mustang Funny Car, a hit in the 1970s drag racing scene. It is modeled after the car driven by Shirley Muldowney, the first female drag racing driver. The model is 1/25 scale. This fully detailed kit features meticulous reproduction of everything from the engine to the frame. The Mustang Mach 1 body has been adapted to fit the frame, and the stretched long-nose design has been realistically reproduced. The tubular space frame frame has been meticulously modeled. The engine mounted within it has been reproduced down to its ancillary equipment. Even after completion, the body can be lifted up to view it. The driver's seat located behind the engine is also reproduced in meticulous detail, including the roll bar and steering wheel. Metal-plated parts are also included for the wheels and engine parts. Additionally, this kit also includes the parachute (drag chute) that drag racers deploy at the rear of their cars after crossing the finish line. Two open drag chutes are included as plastic parts. The car's markings are reproduced with large decals. This kit conveys the achievements of this Hall of Fame female driver.
