An expanded version of Freeze in lowball size! Sitting between the original Freeze and Superego pedals is the Pico Deep Freeze Sound Retainer. With its ability to freeze instantaneous sounds, Deep Freeze functions as a sustain pedal to hold chords or single notes as backing for your playing, or as a platform for manipulating new sounds not possible with a regular guitar. In addition to the capabilities of the original Freeze, the Deep Freeze is a powerful pedal with layering capabilities, adjustable attack/decay speed, glissando, dedicated volume control, and three modes: Latch/Moment/Auto. Deep Freeze can freeze the sound instantly under 3 modes. Latch mode freezes the sound each time you press the footswitch until the effect is bypassed, while Moment mode freezes the sound only while the footswitch is held down. Auto mode automatically captures sound whenever a signal above the threshold is detected.
, it freezes with virtually no footswitch operation. With these three modes, Deep Freeze easily adapts to any playing style. Deep Freeze's controls allow you to further fine-tune the effect. A separate DRY and EFFECT volume control allows you to blend the signal from subtle backing to 100 percent wet. GLISS adjusts the speed of change between freeze sounds to create otherworldly sounds. The SPEED/LAYER knob adjusts the attack/decay time of the effect in Moment mode and Auto mode, and the volume of the sound before layering in Latch mode.
