It's okay if sweat gets on them. You can rinse them off with water after use. *IP5X equivalent means they are protected against dust particles that could impair operation. IPX5 equivalent means they are protected against water jets. They cannot be used in hot and humid places such as the bathroom. They are not completely waterproof. The earphones themselves are waterproof and dustproof to IP55 standards, but the part that produces the sound is not waterproof or dustproof.
